Hi friends!

"It's 3:23 in the morning and I'm awake, because my great-grandchildren won't let me sleep. My great-grandchildren come to me in dreams. What did you do when the planet was plundered? What did you do when Earth was unravelling? Surely you did something when the seasons were failing. When the mammals, the reptiles, the birds were dying. Did you fill the streets with protest, when democracy was stolen?

What did you do, once you knew?

Bob Brown’s words hit hard. They strip away all excuses, leaving us to face a simple, haunting question: What did you do once you knew the planet was in peril? There's no hiding from it. Picture yourself answering this question from your children or grandchildren. Can you honestly say you did everything you could to protect their future?

Food for thought. Big questions, even bigger answers. One super simple action is to make sure your money sitting in super and banks isn't being invested in harmful industries. Start small, go from there.

What's your super funding?

Marketforce has an updated Climate Wreckers Index report out. This report shows how much of our retirement savings the largest super funds have invested in the world’s most climate-damaging fossil fuel companies.

Their report finds that super funds have doubled their investments in these polluting companies in the past two years.

Has your super fund increased its investments in the Climate Wreckers Index?

Net zero homes paving the way

It was so lovely to see my client Envirotecture's project “Huff 'n' Puff Haus” featured in this Guardian article on net-zero homes.

Talina Edwards explains that the beauty of this house is beyond skin deep. What's hidden behind? What's the true heart of what this is doing?

Well, it's a reduced carbon footprint, but also a healthy indoor environment for occupants (which the Certified Passivhaus standard delivers), and also a biophilic design which helps with mental wellbeing. This home is nature-aligned architecture - caring for people and planet.

The Giants

As of last Saturday, you can watch The Giants on Netflix in Australia and New Zealand.

This powerful film follows the life, activism and political career of Bob Brown, intertwined with the story of some of Australia's unique and threatened native forests.

I've seen it, and it's a cracker!
