ISSUE 067 | 30 July 2024

Hi friends!

It took me about five years to complete the whole process, but yesterday I finally signed my will. The process was challenging and required a lot of reflection. Who would have thought that not having children to name as heirs would make it so much harder?!

But that made me feel a big responsibility to the future of our environment. Crafting a meaningful legacy became my mission - I wanted my contribution to make a positive impact on the planet for a lot longer than just my time on it.

My 51 page (!) will reflects this commitment, and I'm finally happy with the plan. And I've never been more glad to tick this life admin task off my list! I bet I'm not the only one procrastinating on this though - shoot me a message if you want a great Certified B Corp estate lawyer recommendation.

Using your money responsibly

The second of my eco column in the UPPERCASE quarterly magazine for the creative and curious  is now out - Issue 62. My column is a topic you've heard me talk about many times - using your money responsibly. But it's something we all use, in business and in our personal lives. And what a powerful statement it can make, with what we choose to do with whatever amount we have.

10 steps to becoming carbon neutral certified

For the fourth year in a row, my business is Climate Neutral Certified. To achieve this, I measured all of my emissions, and I am implementing reduction actions on my journey to net zero. I also compensate for my emissions every year by investing in carbon credits and clean energy certificates.

I've written an article with a few lessons I learnt along my carbon neutral journey. I find breaking down the process into simple steps makes it easier, then you just tick off one task after the other. The hardest step is probably just committing to doing it in the first place! These tips are specifically targeted at small businesses and sole traders like myself.
