Gen B, looms and pleats

THREE NEAT THINGS

My fortnightly newsletter - a dose of goodness, productivity hacks, and small business tips. Sign up here!

ISSUE 083 | March 2025

March is B Corp Month, and this year’s theme is Gen B - a movement of businesses, big and small, using their work to create a better future. As a one-person B Corp, I know firsthand that impact isn’t just about size (although that definitely helps!), it’s also about intention.

Being part of this global community means constantly raising the bar for sustainability, accountability, and action. And when businesses come together, progress happens faster.

In this edition, I’m sharing three neat things on sustainable design, productivity, and business for good - because small changes add up.

Remind me, what’s a B Corp?

A B Corp (short for Benefit Corporation) is a for-profit business that meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It’s about using business as a force for good - balancing profit with purpose. Think ethical sourcing, fair wages, sustainability, and giving back.

Loom: a free screen recorder

Loom is a game-changer for businesses that want to communicate clearly and efficiently. Whether it’s walking clients through designs, giving project updates, or answering long emails in minutes, video saves time and avoids misunderstandings. It’s the easiest way to make your communication more personal, engaging, and effective.

It works on Mac and PC, and the free version gives you 25 videos a month with a 5-minute recording limit - plenty to streamline your workflow.
