THREE NEAT THINGS

ISSUE 084 | March 2025

Our miniature pinscher is now operating with about a third of his mouth — 13 more teeth out this week, bringing the lifetime total of extractions to 27. Who knew dogs had 40 to begin with? It got me thinking about the unexpected things we take for granted — like how the way we spend our weeks, the power behind everyday purchases, or the design of a home can quietly shape our future.

This issue of Three Neat Things is about the small but significant stuff: how we live, how we work, and how we look after the planet we call home.

Better choices, every day

This B Corp Month, we’re celebrating the collective impact of thousands of businesses using profit for purpose.

These days, you can choose to buy from a B Corp in almost every part of life.

From the coffee you drink to the bag you carry. From your super fund to your skincare. Even how you clean your bathroom or what you feed your dog. Check out the B Corp directory to find businesses making a positive impact — and support them with your everyday choices.

Your Life in Weeks

I’ve been looking for a tool like this for ages - I was even about to build a Notion database to do it myself.

It’s based on Tim Urban’s Your Life in Weeks - a powerful way to visualise your life, week by week. This version lets you track milestones, reflect on your journey, and share your story with others.

A reminder that life is finite - and every week counts.

In the press

In Victoria’s Central Highlands, Harcourt House by Sense of Space is a high-performing, all-electric home designed in harmony with its natural surrounds.

Built by The Sustainable Building Co, it sits atop an exposed granite outcrop, using the site’s contours and established gums to create a private, energy-efficient family home with a 7.3-star NatHERS rating.

Featured on The Design Files last week.
